The Lido sits at the edge of the Venetian lagoon, separated from Venice's historic centre by a short stretch of water, but a long way from the crowds. The island has its own pace: wide avenues, Art Deco architecture, cycle paths running the length of the coastline, and the kind of local restaurants that haven't changed in decades.
From the hotel, Venice is 15 minutes by shuttle boat. The islands of Murano and Burano are easily reached. And beyond, Verona, Padua, the Dolomites, the Prosecco hills are all within a day trip.
