FOOD&BEVERAGE
Banqueting Maître
To supervise and direct all aspects of the Banqueting team who is heavily impacted by casual workers and agency staff, under the general direction of the Director of Food and Beverage and within the limits of established Hotel and local policies and procedures.The Banqueting Maître has the support of one in house person (Supervisor/Chef de Rang).
- Ensures that all staff under your direct supervision meet and or exceed hotel grooming and performance standards.
- Ensures that operational departments conduct pre-meal briefings and maintains close liaison with the Executive Chef.
- Controls stocks regularly to ensure appropriate level of service are maintained and wastage is kept to a minimum
- Participates during weekly BEO meetings and is confident in planning 15 to 30 weeks ahead with the support of the F&B operation manager or DFB
- Ensures a high level of communication is maintained with all other hotel departments, taking a proactive approach to informing departments of any special requirements and being receptive to the guest’s needs.
- To perform administrative duties and other staff administration such as attendance records, logbook and assisting with the preparing of staff rosters according to forecasted business.
2nd Restaurant Maître
He/she will support the 1st Maître in the management of our à la carte restaurant, open for dinner on the suggestive terrace facing the sea. Significant experience in 5-star hotels and / or fine dining restaurants is required. We are looking for a person with strong attention to detail, inclination to sales and up selling, as well as a good team management. Fluent knowledge of English completes the profile.
Bar Supervisor
He/she will be the operational reference person. We would like to get in touch with candidates who are familiar with the quality standards of luxury environments and are able to pass them on to departmental colleagues, raising the level of service. The candidate sought is a trainer with consolidated experience in the F&B luxury sector. Fluent knowledge of English and preferably of a second foreign language completes the profile.
Chef de Rang / Chef de Bar
We are looking for Chef de Rang for our bars and our restaurants. For all profiles is required a proven experience in luxury hotels, familiarity in managing and relating to high-profile customers. Proactivity and fluent knowledge of English and preferably of a second foreign language complete the profile.
Commis de Rang
We meditate hiring candidates who have gained at least a minimum experience, even through internships, and who have the aim of growing professionally in a prestigious context.
Sous Chef
Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, he will assist him in the management of the brigade and take his place in his absence. Proven experience in the role is required, preferably in large facilities.
Chef de Partie
The figures we are looking for have gained a considerable experience in hotels with a strong banquet and / or in restaurants of primary importance. Among the profiles of interest, we point out in particular that of a Pastry Chef de Partie.
Commis de Cuisine
We meditate hiring candidates who have gained at least a minimum experience, even through internships, and who have the aim of growing professionally in a prestigious context. Among the profiles of interest, we point out in particular those of Pastry and Pizza Commis.
Chief Steward
He/she will coordinate and operationally manage the stewarding department of the Hotel Excelsior, with three washing points and about fifteen employees. In addition to the coordination and operational part, he/she will take care of the management and inventory of the porcelain and silverware warehouses, and stock control. It is required experience in the Hotel Stewarding or Warehouse department and the ability to coordinate groups of people in multicultural environments.
FRONT OFFICE
Duty Manager
The hotel’s Duty Manager primarily reports to the Director of Hotel Operations or Executive Committee member designed by the General Manager and oversees facilities, security and guest service.
His/her responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, ensuring and monitoring efficiency of all processes as well as of general cleanliness and tidiness of all public areas.
He/she ensures smooth running of all operations by making decisions on all matters promptly, following the hotel’s procedures.
He/she needs to be fully aware of the emergency procedures about safety of guests and staff.
Guest complaints and service difficulties should be channelized, as much as possible, through the Duty Manager who is constantly updated on hotel information and events.
Main responsibilities:
- Undertake constant hotel inspections communicating needed improvement to involved departments
- Oversee operations, including maintenance, cleanliness and efficiency
- Ensure that security and safety regulations are met
- Ensure guests are greeted upon arrival and assign time to interact effectively with guests
- Ensure repeat guests and other VIPs receive special attention and recognition
- Deliver friendly, efficient guest service and create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
- Liaise closely with Housekeeping and IRD to ensure special guest needs, amenities and other room-related requests are met
- Ensure 100% guest satisfaction from guests’ arrival to departure
- Handle, solve and record al guest requests, requirements and complaints with tact and diplomacy at all times
- Ensure all information on restaurants, hotel facilities, services are always kept up to date
- Ensure all security accidents are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of higher management
- Take appropriate decisions to tact emergencies as power outage, breakdown of working equipment, delayed supplies
- Be flexible for taking over tasks and assist colleagues and teams as and when required
Requirements and skills:
- Previous experience in a 5 * Luxury Hotel
- Guest service experience

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian, English, German, French
Receptionist / Shift Leader
We consider the inclusion of a receptionist / shift leader who, in addition to carrying out the usual duties required by the role, has a particular inclination for guest satisfaction, anticipating their needs and demonstrating keen attention to detail. Previous experience in the role in structures of the same level, use of the Opera management software, excellent knowledge of English and another foreign language (preferably German), willingness to work shifts and strong empathy are required.

Director of People, Quality, Learning & Development
The Director of People, Quality, Learning & Development will report to the Chief Planning Officer. As a member of the Senior Management, he/she contributes with high level of human resource generalist knowledge and expertise for the property. He/she will be accountable for learning & development, talent acquisition, succession/workforce planning, performance management for employees, using technology efficiently, and coaching/developing others to help influence and execute business objectives in the most efficient manner granting the highest quality standards defined by the industry. Additionally, he/she utilizes a Human Resource Business Plan aligned with property strategies to deliver HR services that enable business success.
Responsibilities
- Sets up, monitors and manages the Human Resources Strategy.
- Liaise, with the support of the Chief Planning Officer, with the Finance department to deliver timely results and effective cost management.
- Monthly review of Cube Reporting to analyze, comment and set up action plans accordingly.
- FTE and productivity analysis and monitoring, also from a financial standpoint.
- Translates business priorities into property Human Resources strategies, plans and actions.
- Implements and sustains Human Resources initiatives at the property.
- Creates and coordinates a human capital review process and leads succession planning activities on
- Creates value through proactive approaches that will affect performance outcome or control cost.
- Leads and participates in succession management and workforce planning.
- Serves as key change manager for initiatives that have high employee impact.

MAINTENANCE
Maintainer
We are looking for a maintenance technician who will work in a team with other colleagues, reporting to the Department Manager. He will take care of scheduled and extraordinary maintenance of the hotel structure and related appurtenances. We are looking for a candidate who, in addition to the essential technical skills, demonstrates good relational skills, being occasional contacts with guests possible. Requirements:
- Expertise in the electro-mechanical and thermo-hydraulic fields
- Good dexterity
- Willingness to work shifts
- Inclination for teamwork
- Knowledge of the English language (at least A2)
- PC use (Office package)
- Preferably previous experience in the hotel sector
BEACH OPERATIONS
Beach Office Employee
We are looking for an employee at the Beach Office in charge of direct sale of the daily cabanas and customer assistance. Knowledge of the Office package, good English and aptitude for contact with the public and teamwork are required.
Lifeguard
For the beaches of the Hotel Excelsior, we are looking for Lifeguards with valid Italian patent (Sea, Inland Waters and Swimming Pool) and BLSD certification.
Ground Lifeguard
We are looking for employees for ground operations. Availability for split shifts is required.
We offer a fixed-term seasonal contract. The hiring period will be defined during the interview, also in consideration of the specific professional profile. normally, our season runs from April to October.
